Nope, it's been changed. My login information for crawl-forever.com no longer works. Ahhh well.

In that case, can you give me a rundown of what I would've had to do in order to upload it to the given directory correctly? Im beginning to wonder because i uploaded it (or thought i uploaded it) quite a while ago now and still nothing showing where I was told it would go. Maybe I sent it to the wrong directory on the server... if that is possible. I don't know. Help.

Ghost contact me ingame and we'll chat. I'll try to be online tonight. Perhaps we can work this out.
I would dedicate space on the [IA] server but I'm worried about bandwidth. Well, slightly worried.

allright i may be so extremely late on commenting on this it is daft but i though i'd put my tuppence worth in anyway.

i realy enjoyed this, the mach up to the music was superb and it had a relay epic feel to it, the choice of music was great, i paticulaly enjoyed the shots of the various people coming from the different docks or stations and then showing the combat i thought that was done realy well, keep it up in other words :)

That video still has absolutely nothing to do with Vendetta (this is not Trojan Wars: Vendetta), and Space Junk still sucks.

Thanks for your comments xava. And thanks for your constuctive criticism roguelazer. Oh wait... that wasn't constructive at all.

I think it's safe to say that when more than half of your video is text you need to fix something. And yes, the space junk does suck and the in-game sounds get to be distracting.

Woah genka. That was a serious and well-reasoned post. Oww.

Rogue I think you just missed the symbolism there. I am aware this is not the trojan war... but the text was not meant to be taken literally, merely to convey the idea of a conflict building. Also, just to be more specific instead of making exaggerations, more than half of the video was not text. Just over 2 minutes of text with video clips interspersed between the passages was used. The video is just over 7 minutes long. Doing our math we can see that not even 1/3 of the video was text. Anywho, I didn't make it to win an oscar, and I didn't think it was too bad for my first attempt at a Vendetta video. I just wanted to do something different than what everyone else has done so far. Some people liked it, some people didn't.

I like it even more, now that genka and roguelazer DON'T like it.

Good! All the more reason for me not to like it!

As for there really being more video than text, I guess I missed out by killing the damn thing at about one forth through after another crescendo of the of the "omg look at how deep I am, I'm using cliched classical!" musics that accompanied yet another black screen with a useless shitstorm of text upon it.

That was just unnecessary. Instead of needlessly insulting myself and my attempt to "restart the vendetta video project," why don't you go make a better one. Stop spending your time critiquing mine and show me how you can make one that just blows mine away. Well, you're not even critiquing mine i guess. Critiquing usually has some positive intention to it. So you've already voiced your opinion, now put up or shut up. Oh, and the next time you decide to publicly criticize someone's work, you may want to at least view the whole thing first. It might give your opinion a little more credibility.

i rather liked it it was non the worse for the text it was a bit slow to start of at first but as it went on i found it very entertaining, and the classical feel music fited rather well to the ships flying though space.

I've noticed that both borb and shape seem to be rather good story writers prhaps sombody shoudl talk to them?
Aug 17, 2005 LeberMac link
Yah. Either one. How 'bout next time we get a script and hire on some extras and do some choreographed combat scenes/space scenes?

And let's NOT use classical. How about accordions?
Aug 17, 2005 genka link
You should ask Apex to do it. He might have a free time slot to write you a script. It'll be well worth the money.

Coming from Genka, I'm not sure how to take that...

[Edit: Nevermind, yes I do.]
