Hi all, I see this thread died awhile back, but I was wondering if the latest version posted here was fully functional or if I should look elsewhere?

Thanks!

Sorry for Necro'ing, but I can't get this to work.
I downloaded it and unzipped it to my Vendetta online plugins folder.
When I play VO and type /ta I get a no such command error.

You need to create a directory in your plugins folder called ta and then unzip it into that.

Thank you! That fixed it.

ok, please explaine just how you get this thing to work i have it installed and can use the "/ta" command to bring it up but it is making no cence.

I have all the commodities at 5 different station inventories and when I select for example buy at Itan N-5 and Sell at Itan K-11 all it says is no results?

and is there a way to remove items from the dropdown list in the Trade goods tab and or select multiple items or gee show all the items in my cargobay automatically?

thanks..

You have to dock at all stations that you want data on, since this is how the plugin initially gathers station data. (same thing for keeping the data current also)

And no to all of your second question.

Ok, you really need to read the post first. This is indicative of this "game" so far, no darn answers everyone acts like the asker is the dummy when some of us really are trying to figure things out. hummm game struggling? maybe....

Yes I know this is an add-on to the game but it reflects the attitude of the players, please READ then think then respond.

Perhaps you should READ the response, then think, then respond.

When you install the plug-in for the first time it has no data. Each time you dock at a station it updates the buy prices of all commodities sold by the station and the sell prices of the items you have in your inventory at the station.

So basically, when you do a comparison on the stations tab it will only show commodities that can be purchased at the 'buy' station and that you also have in your inventory at the 'sell' station (you still have to dock at both stations to save the price data). Also note that on the stations tab it only displays items with positive profit, so even if you have data at both stations it still may not show any if the sell price isn't higher than the buy price for any of the items you have data for.

This is what I have done.

I have gone to each of the stations in the Itan system and purchased 1 of each of the commodities available at that station and placed them in that stations inventory.

At this point I should be able to select the station tab and select 2 stations, lets say buy at N-5 and sell at L-5. and According to you I should now see a listing of the prices, based on my last visit, in for the 2 stations and the profit. all I see is the statement "no-results"

so

I went to the N-5 station and purchesed one of each item to see if I have to have the items in inventory for it to work, again no joy.

also if I select each item from the first tab "trade goods" then I see a list for that 1 item at the different stations.

the next step is to 2x check that I have the most up to date copied, could someone please post the updated link to it? oops that should have been the first step.

thanks

Someone should write a book called the "joy of software trouble shooting" but the title would be an oxymoron.

When you purchase items for your inventory you have to launch from the station and redock for the prices to be recorded by the plug-in. (There might also be a way to manually trigger the update too, but I don't really remember).

Also, by your method the only items you'll have buy and sell data at both stations are items that are available at both stations. However, any items sold by both stations are not going to be very profitable, if at all. That's probably why you aren't getting any results.

What you should do is buy a variety of items at station A and transport them to station B, and any items not available at station B will likely be profitable.

It looks like Vskye gave a link to the latest version in his 8/24 post.

TA didnĀ“t work for ma Mate. We both have the same TGFT Version 1.12. My Version runs absolute as it is supposed to.
After some issues from him losing credits with TA, I made a test flight with him.

His TA is giving him incorrect Goods to trade which results in Money lose.
Was giving him Start and Destination and his Results tell him crap.

Me uses TA under Win7 on a Laptop, he uses a MAC with Mountain Lion.
If anyone has a solution or Idea what happens, please here or Ingame to
Me (NO-DRAGON) or l1nk-dna (my pal who as the problem)

Trade Assistant is only able to keep track of the selling price of goods at the time of your last visit. If someone else tanks the market at that station before you return, you can lose money. Also, some goods are red-herrings; they sell high, but they tank extremely quickly and will load you with a massive loss if you try to continue selling them beyond a certain point.
