For me, the main issue is going to be getting a copy of FRAPS... Anybody have a license they're not using?

We'll be using the free version, and Incarnate showed me how to get raw .wav dumps from Vendetta.

You can use whatever version you'd like, but I prefer working with raw AVI for source material. Yes, the resolution is stuck at 640x480, but after editing, compression, and antialiasing, you really dont notice it.

did you take the homesector videos with fraps? (free version)

no no. Sound driver will write all output to a wav. It's not that easy to get the video from the framebuffer to an avi format...

I don't see what you'll need an X800 Pro for... Running in 640x480 res doesn't require too much power... AA doesnt really work too well at such a low res either... then again I never saw Temporal Anti-Aliasing at work yet.

Nah, it doesn't, but my monitor runs at 1280 x 1024... :P

Hmmm, I may end up getting a 6800 GT instead, actually. The Linux drivers are supposed to be better, among other things...
