BP Mission Bug
For a group Border Patrol mission, monetary rewards are a constant 3500cr. So if there's 1 person in the group, he gets 3500cr. If there's five, they get 700cr each. 'tis weird.
All missions are like that. The money is divided amoung the players.
Ayuh, but most don't have the exact same reward for the 1-person version as for the group version.
I consistently was unable to get bots to spawn when taking the mission for the last hour or so. Happened after I killed Lecter a few times in the mission sector (E-7?) I tried group missions, non-group missions, leaving sector and jumping back in, leaving system through BOTH wormholes, logging on and off, nothing works.
Something is wrong?
Something is wrong?
Again tonight.
Is someone taking the mission down purposefully?

I doubt anyone's taking it down on purpose.
Has it ever worked for you again after you first had this problem, or is it still happening?

It may have been taken down on purpose since the itani (including me) were kinda hogging the E-7 sector for about an hour there Tuesday night (CST), if it wasn't then something is DEINITELY broken.
I've had the problem w/ no enemy bots spawning, but for me jumping out & back fixed it, and I had targets again.
I don't see why "the itani (including me) were kinda hogging the E-7 sector" would be a reason to take it down...
When you've had this problem, is it only when you were by yourself, or does it also happen with a group?

It's happened to me by myself, to me when I am in a group by myself, and in any size number groups.
Usually it gets screwed up when opposing players for the mission-takers jump in and then jump out without being killed. I think that since the players count as bots with the new BP mission that something gets screwed up when a player leaves the sector without dying and then comes back. For example, last night there were multiple Itani players in the sector and I don't think an actual Itani bot EVER spawned for poor Henry Jekyll, who was constantly getting 5-on-1'ed because we had a group mission going. To his credit, he kept coming back and providing us a way to finish our BP mission.
In my experience, if it's just itani players and Serco bots, everything works fine. I assume the same goes for vice-versa. When players of both sides get into the mix, I think that confuses something somewhere.
That's about as technical as I can get.

Well, I just had the no-bots-spawning bug happen to me again, and this time jumping out & back in wasn't enough to fix it. :-(
Wild guess as to a possible cause, A1k0n has said that there are multiple BP sectors the mission can send you to, could it be that the mission computer always tells you to go to Deneb E-7, even if the mission is really set to take place in a different sector? I've only ever seen the mission computer say Deneb E-7, has anyone ever seen it say anywhere else?

Oh. That could be, I hadn't thought of that, Beolach.
But in reality I think that the devs or guides have taken it away, due to the insane amounts of XP given out. I will try to confirm again tonight.
[EDIT] Still no workie. I assume that the devs have taken the mission away. [/EDIT]
[EDIT2] Apparently it should still work if you kill Serco players. I will confirm this tonight. (Ha - assuming I can kill anyone.) [/EDIT2]

okay, after this last update, I think there is still some sort of major bug. The update details say this should be back up, but it isn't. I'm being sent to Deneb C-10 and nothing is spawning.
If you're grouped, clicking the select nearest target button selects one of your own group if they are the closest.
Yeah, this still isn't fixed; I didn't really say it was in the update, I just fixed some other issues. I'm still trying to figure this one out. I believe if everyone vacates Deneb C10 for five minutes, the bots should begin to spawn again.
