I'm THIS close to being alive again, but Vendetta doesn't start on my "new" machine. It gets as far as the client itself, but terminates.

I'm configured to try 640x480x16 in windowed mode.

Are you launching with the vendetta executable, or update.rlb? On my box, when I try to run ~/.vendetta/vendetta directly, I get the "Fatal Error: Couldn't open window.", but when I run update.rlb & click the play button, it works.

I've tried directly and through the updater, I've tried it in both fullscreen and windowed mode. The error log is the same, but in fullscreen it full-out crashes...

Yeah, there is; I've run VO on worse video cards. (Rage 3D 2MB vs. Rage Something-or-other 4MB... or maybe it's 8MB)
