When i was prospecting today, I finally found myself zoning out (no control over ship, chat worked). I logged off and back in, and to my surprise, I had to wait 4e+02 seconds until I could chat again. After some frantic msgs I logged and relaunched Vendetta. After that, it was fine. I have not been able to reproduce th bug.

I just reproduced this now. Were you on the test server? It probably had been restarted. Though I guess it's doubtful you were prospecting there... Hmm.

Oh. Wow, you had no control of your ship because your timer was 400 second behind. Yikes, that isn't supposed to happen. I guess the timer phase locked loop went loopy. I know a lot more math now than when I wrote that, so I'll take another look.

Heh, yeah. More math. I think we now know about subtraction and division. The game was only using addition and multiplication before. ;)

I was on the normal game server, and I had full control over the ship up to the zone-out, and when I tried to warn buddies that I would be logging off, I found out I could not chat in General. Ship control returned after having logged out and in, but chatting abiility didn't (for General), at least until I quit and relaunched Vendetta.
