step 1: Unplug the PC
Step 2: Pick it up
Step 3: Throw it out the window
Step 4: Buy a new Imac
Step 5: Install OS X
Step 6: Download vendetta
Step 7: Play

It could be that it's a really old computer or something, i donno.. JUst jeez.. a Pentium 2?? stuff still run on that?

Yes urza, the first lemmings game.

You don't need step 5, mac osx is installed on imacs!

(and now for something helpful)

You friend's computer is below the basic system requirements for the game:

A Pentium III class PC (or better)
256mb of system ram
At least a 32mb T&L-accelerated 3D video accelerator (Geforce1/Radeon class)
Windows 98, ME, 2000, or XP
DIRECTX 8.1

What? Ummm... Dude, I use a 32 meg TNT2. It definitely DOESN'T have hardware T&L support... I've also run it on my iBook's Radeon 7500, which doesn't have hardware T&L support...

"Dude", duffman's friend's computer is an entire Pentium class down amd 192MB RAM short. A system with more RAM and a faster processor might be able to run Vendetta without the minimum video card, but his friend's machine is woefully inadequate for running Vendetta. I can't imagine why you replied. Did you think *I* made up the minimum requirements?

more ram is needed. 64megs with win98/winXX is painful in and of itself, I think.

The cpu should be ok though.

The fatal error is probably saying his video card is way below spec.

Try looking at the directx8.log file or the errors.log file that are in the Vendetta directory to see if they have any error messages.

I've run Windows 98 fine on a Celeron 466 with 96 megs ram. And we're using win2k on Pentium 133s with 128 megs ram at school. THAT's painful...
