i went to my friends house and got his vendetta to work but now theres a new problem. the lag is like stupid u cant like do anything wat can i do ? mine fine and we both have 56k. also his pc is much better than mine i know its not the pc as i tryed closin everything but vendetta and made sure the firewalls werent up

Please define 'stupid' for me because I don't think the term is that descriptive in context - at least I hope it isn't. Define 'lag', because alot of people don't recognize lag when they see it and assume anything that seems wrong with the gameplay is lag. Did you try '/toggleframerate'? If you were getting good frame rates, it might be lag. If you weren't getting good frame rates, is wasn't lag - it was your settings or your machine. When you do these reports give people details. When did this occur? What was your framerate? What system were you using? What was your ping? What graphics card did your friend have? Please describe your symptoms instead of ranting like a 'l33tboi. I'm guessing you are an American, so I think you can probably speak English better than that and you should if you want people to take you seriously and help you.

Lag looks like this. You will be flying along and then suddenly you will jump backwards and the screen will jump around. Bad lag looks like that only it happens _alot_. Really bad lag is that you are flying along and everything looks fine except that the NPC ships are spinning like they are drunk and coasting off into the blue and when you shoot them you don't get a beep. Ok, did you actually have lag and if so what did it look like?

My guess is that you either didn't have lag - you had your graphics settings up to high resulting in a low frame rate - or else you got bitten by the server bug in 3.2. There are only like _20_ threads describing the server bug right now that you could have read to get information. The server bug works like this: you are getting very good average ping rates (generally < 200 on a 56k, or < 80 on a broadband) when suddenly you experience total lag as if you had been disconnected from the server. For 50-60 seconds you can't interact with the universe at all, you just fly around locally. Some machines time out during this period. If you don't time out, suddenly you jump a couple thousand meters and you have no lag again - at least for a few minutes or so. The problem seems to effect different machines to a different degree and is actually worse apparantly on machines that don't normally have connection problems.

a1k0n has informed us that he thinks he has fixed this bug, and if you will read in progress you will see that it should be patched shortly.
