The "I Cant Believe Your Not Dead After Eating All Those Proximity Mines" bug

Today, and a few other times, I made a cloud of proximity mines, 300 mines placed in a ball about 20m in diameter and had another colored player fly through the center in a bus. Surprise Surprise, he lives!
After eating a whopping 750,000 damage(300 prox mines), where 1% of all the mines is 1.5k more than his HP, the BUS survives with a minimal damage loss.

So my question is: How does a glob of mines, that can kill a Frigate, not kill a bus?

Mines are all messed up. In other mine news, I found out that a DIRECT HIT by an avalon torpedo will not destroy a proximity mine. All I have to say is, can I have some of that armor?

yeah that needs to be fixed as well, why should a single ion shot do what an avalon cant?

Make mines like pre 3.2, a mine explodes, all the surronding mines explodes within the splash radius, and a nuke should be able to take down a field of mines.

Yeah, a nuke should definitely be able to seriously demine.

And the nuke will be able to elminate station mining, let the miner waste money.

Missiles, Rockets and Torpedos don't effect mines, splash shold tho. If a rocket device were to kill a mine, well then we would be just fine becasue the mine would explode from the rocket's proximity to it. By fine I mean sucktacular.

The proximity of weapons never set off mines... and therefore mines never set off proxy weapons without a direct hit... but splash was THERE in pre-3.2, and SHOULD be there now...

I agree with rogue. We need mines to set off other mines again.

We don't know exactly what happened to it. It wasn't removed on purpose. Ray's looking into it.

We still have the problem with the mines not killing you.

I try this a lot now so here are my most recent results

After laying 400mines I had my friend fly through them and *stay* in the middle.

It seems the 400 mines going off causes soooooo much lag (even though my ping is around 70, once it was only 5) that I see the explosion a full 2 minutes before anybody else does. So my friend if he sits in the mine cloud until everybody else sees the explosion he dies like he should. But if Im sitting with him (After I see the explosion and before everybody else does) When everybody else sees the explosion I am not hurt except from my friends explosion. But if I sit in the middle AS MY FRIEND GOES THROUGH IT I die and then everybody still ses the explosion 2minutes later....
how odd....
