"Unable to connect to the Guild Software update server!

After about 2 dozen of these... I get onto the update server and into the login screen. Then all i get is "Connecting" for about 45 seconds before it times out.

Is it just me this is happening to?

I had that happen right after the 3.2.8 (see, got it right that time) update. I tracked it down to my firewall/antivirus software that for some reason handled this update differently than the others. I had to go back and allow it manually. Try it with your security software disabled and see if you get in.
