Actually Ray, no it isn't. Send me a email to my account and I'll send you a sceenshot I took last night. Ice roids are red.. well, last night anyways.

To be fair, I did received a bunch of updates yesterday. Will check the logs and see what exactly was updated. This is on the Linux 64-bit client, with Ubuntu 12.04 running kde. Intel i5 / HD3000.

While you're at it, post what versions of the Linux kernel, Mesa, and Xorg you're running.

Heh, I would Arf, but I just zapped Linux and tossed PC-BSD on the laptop.

I just got my new motherboard and cpu today, so tomorrow I'll get around to installing some dist of Linux on it. That one will have a dedicated Nvidia card in it also.

You could try running the game on BSD, lol. There's a Linux-binary compatibility layer.

Anyway, I just tested this out on my laptop and the ice is indeed black again.

Linux 3.11 i686
Mesa 9.2
Intel GMA950

Seems to be working now. With VO 1.8.264 the ice is white or blue and sorta shiny-ish.

That said, the mining beam FX actually looked kind of sweet with the black roidlets. It seemed like some po-boy's HDR and the beams looked brighter that way.
