Don't know if this is a bug,but any and all of my small addons won't work,even after being fresh off the market, large addons work perfectly,but smaller ones just won't fire

What ship were you using, and what addons? also, have you verified that the triggers for each weapon port have been bound properly.

Have you played with the weapon groups? Try buy a fresh ship (not from a preset or buyback), equip a small weapon and if it works, simply sell the old ship, you have the groupings wrong.
