Mission Log not synced between different devices

Sep 14, 2017 boubaris link
Hi guys.

I've started to play VO since few days ago. I would like to play VO using 3 different devices:
- Android smartphone (Huawei P9 LIte, Android 6)
- Android tablet (Lenovo Yoga Tab 3, Android 7)
- my PC (Linux Mint 18.x)
I've installed VO in all three devices and it looks to be run smoothly without problem. Only with Huawey P9 I hear crappy sound.

I'm doing the mission "Training IV: The station Interface". I've started yesterday evening using my PC. This is the screenshot https://postimg.org/image/5w56v894l/

Then this morning I run VO with my tablet: "Mission Log" window is empty. It's no possible to continue with mission (screenshot: https://postimg.org/image/tbn40ksvp/ )

Then I tried with smartphone: the same but worst. On the left the mission title is "db:26" (screenshot https://postimg.org/image/o1i59a8mt/ )

I've read a msg posted years ago about this problem: missions logs are written to a text file into the device so it's impossible to sync it with other device. Not solved to 2017 ?!?!

Thanks.

It is stored in a text file, and it has not been fixed because you do not need them to be? If you log in on a different device and cannot remember which mission you are on, you can simply abort it and take a new mission (or request an update from the mission computer on some missions)? That is if the mission stays active, which in your case it does not.

It is not a bug, it is the way it works, and if you really need to "sync up" your mission logs, you can simply copy the file to your new device. Trust me, VO needs more content and a much more involved mission system before this even gets a look.

Crazy. Really.

It's honestly never been viewed as all that important. We could certainly start writing out the mission logs on the server, and retrieve them on login.

At the time when that was created, few missions would persist across logoff anyway, so persistence of info-history didn't seem that critical when there was rarely a persistence of mission.
