auto aim

If you equip a cargo scanner/mineral scanner in your small port and set primary fire to large port auto aim doesn't work

The auto aim has always been tied to the small port from day one.
I have always hated it since I prefer heavy weapons.
Multi aim does get around the issue and is a part of the client now.

Its not right but its what we have.

well then what we have is just not good enough

the part i'm referencing:
3) Some individuals will say "But I pay Money! I'm a Customer! Organization Is Your Problem! Get It Done! To which the simple, obvious answer (that doesn't actually have to be explained to a lot of people) is: THEN DON'T PLAY WEIRD, UNDERFUNDED INDIE GAMES. Because your expectations should be very different.

I'm open to the idea of looking into this. There are probably some old Suggestions threads discussing better alternatives, if someone wants to make a new Suggestions thread referencing/linking any previous discussions, and gets specific about what game-behaviour would be preferred today, we can take a look at least at how complex it would be to change. If it's relatively quick for us to do, then, no big deal.

I think the solution is to aim based on the weapon attached to shoot2. Currently it uses the small port weapon and ignores the trigger its attached to.
