I just did the rebuy mission for my Goliath. Until I went to the "Configure" screen, there was no indication my active ship was the new Goliath. UI claims my active ship is the hound I arrived in, and there is no Goliath to be found under "Select Ship". Checking my inventory shows a Goli as "local".

When I go to "Configure" I see the goli, as expected, so everything has worked, but the UI gives no indication, and claims my active ship is the one I was piloting when I took the rebuy mission.
