PC VR issues

Getting "Failed to create eye textures," when attempting to load the game in VR. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Connected to a quest 2

this is the little dialogue thingy it was doing when loading, unsure if it pertains to the situation at hand. Windows 11. Quest 2 is on sw 346379389.

wired connection, GTX1650 4gb vram, 32gb ram, and then core I7 9th gen

Okay. We've never actually tested the game on Quest 2 via a link cable, at all, before.

Are you able to run other games over the link cable? When those came out, they were really temperamental about which ones would work properly.

I can confirm the game *somewhat* works when used through a link cable. no 6dof oculus controllers for me (button inputs were still detected though?), so using the PC's mouse/keyboard or a seperate controller are neccesary.

For me, i'm using a
CPU: i7-3770
GPU: nvidia GTX 1070ti
Ram: 24gb
Wired oculus link connection
Windows 10

This is my errors log for what the game is like when you launch in PCVR, get to the login screen, and then exit (with plugins)

It used to work for me just fine, but for some reason now it isn't. Maybe I should change my VO settings? But it would make no sense I uninstalled and reinstalled the game...
Yeah I can run other VR games, and no, wasn't very temperamental. Was able to play VR-Chat and SimplePlanes VR, along with No Man's Sky just fine. Perhaps I need to change some graphic settings somewhere...? Or should I just nuke all the game files? I also just recently reconnected my quest 2 to the internet a couple months ago and it downloaded an update, but VR VO at the time ran just fine.

Meh whatever. In the meantime I guess I will fallback to my Lenovo Mirage solo standalone for VO VR

Even my daydream lenovo mirage solo isn't happy. It has android 8 on it, VO stutters and the image hangs alot. So much for that idea. Wasn't ever like this last time I used it.
