2 days ago at 8:40 pm EST I was in a valk and I came in sector 13 all the guys in valks had no names, ware all black, and when they killed it came up as "destroed "name" I have pics if you want.

Meh. It's just the color panels that are black. Just squint at a blue valk and you have it.

I will take FM's word and not bother asking for the pics then :)

Hmm, haven't seen that. I once had a white vulture, though. I've also seen, as a result of a past bug, untextured valks that appear to have a smooth black flat matte finish like a Ducati motorcycle. It all depended on the position of the ship relative to the sun, though. I took some screen caps with environment maps off, too, so the special ships would have black tinted canopy windows.
