I noticed the allied Trident was behaving oddly: repeatedly ramming nose-first into a large 'roid. I had a suspicion, and sure enough:

While we're at it: I also noticed in the mission log that the Trident was fragging a large number of allied fighters, generating repeated "*Name has been kicked out of the mission for killing *OtherName." entries.
