these new round the clock events are pretty cool.. this is kinda both bug and suggestion really..

the moths spawn until you hit your max 5 and remain after the event is over, which is great.. however.. if we allow them to live, when the next event comes around it wont spawn moths.

be good if the event de-spawned or otherwise de-queue the old five when it *begins* so participants dont have to figure that out ten minutes into the event.

its fine for the current regular participants as we really dig into how things work.. but i can see it being confusing to others.

Nother solution would just be to make the moth sectors visible on the navmap with the new fancy blinky colours.

not really, if you follow the rabbithole to suggestions.. that would just compound the other matter.

So, as a heads-up, we have done some investigation on this.. and it looks like this is more of an implementation problem than a design problem. The moths aren't supposed to "remain", they're supposed to be cleaned-up by the Event ending. But, in testing, sometimes they are, and sometimes they aren't, and we don't (yet) know why.

This will require more digging, and we're currently spread pretty thin trying to get this x64 Windows stuff out the door (and still fix occasional "fire" level issues), so we'll come back to this when we can.

right on. might as well add this to the queue

we managed to completely boink it this morning.. around 35 minutes into the (1300h) event vults stopped spawning entirely.

Incidentally, if anyone is able to find any clear A/B reproduction cases, like "When we do X, it always leads to Y happening; versus when we do Z, it never happens", that kind of thing.. please report it, that would be quite helpful we do have more time to look at this.

It could drastically shorten our debugging / dev window and let us prioritize this more quickly.

wish i had more to include. we went into the sector.. camped the spawn.. shot ships.. no one came or went.. nothing of interest happened aside from us killing them in record time.. and it just.. stopped
