right.. well i have tried to update the driver and have the latest one that is on the radeon site. all the info i have on the graphic's chip is that it is a ATI Radeon 9200 and 64 MB VAG(whatever the hell that is), TV and DVI out.. i have no idea what a VAG or DVI is so i really dont know if this will help any however this is all the info i can dig up about my graphics chip with out disassembling my computer and seeing the serial code on the chip and cross refrencing it with the company..... and no i cant do that cuz this is not really my own personal computer.. And vendetta seems to be the only game that is givig me probs like this.. no other game give this issue... and i play a ton of games online with this... a small list includes Call of Duty, Diablo II and the expansion, Red Alert II, Starcraft, warcraft III, Tribes II and I, Age of Empires II, and others being too annoying to list out all of them.. so really i have no clue what is wrong.. if what you say is true about 9*s then crap cauz that is the one that i have and.. oh and Monk what do you mean by "Bad" ram.... low? i have plenty of RAM 512 so that shouldn't be the case....

I simply have no idea what is going on.
When you go to exit, right before clicking on the button that causes the computer to restart, can you put the game into window mode (press Alt-Enter) and exit that way without crashing? Or does going into windowmode restart the computer too?

I mean bad ram, not the amount. Physically damaged ram... ram that makes errors..

ATi Radeon 9200 is a low end card. Im pretty sure there is a PCI version of it (there are usually always is a PCI version with low end cards). DVI is a video out connection, just like TV out.

If your allowed, run Prime 95 (the RAM test) for at least 30minutes to 4 hours... Tell me if there are any errors, if there are, you can pretty much bet your money on bad hardware.

Also, try upgrading your drivers (what, Catalyst 4.1???, if the bug still persists, try the Omega drivers... they are modified Catalyst drivers, it improves preformance in some games, and also fixes some bugs in the Catalyst drivers).

Edit: Oops, you already upgraded your drivers... Well try the Omega ones... www.omega.com i think...

Hmm, theres also a couple of settings that really screw up R3xx based cards... I forgot what they are called... grr... (Is the 9200 a R3xx based card?, isn't it based on the 8500? Or is the Radeon 9000 based on the 8500? /me is so confused...)

monk: right i will try that out.. hope i am allowed to do this will find out.. aside from that thanx so much i have to see if this method will work!

ray: when i click the exit button it restarts... and if i alt-f4 and then try to quit same things.. something with the quit fuinction it is acting as if it is the reboot buton or as it if it a shortcut to the restart choice and activates it.... /me no like this at all...

Suggested fixes there:

-Turn Fast Writes off at BIOS
-Decrease temperature
-Turn AGP down to 4x

Yeah, thats what its called, fast writes :). It causes a lot of problems for other games too.

You could also try new chipset drivers...
