mouse problem

Heh, I think his keyboard is also messed up. A little spell checking and punctuation can go a long way. Communication is key in helping solve bugs. Geez, how'd you manage to read that, FM?

PS: Don't forget the operating system.

We'd need more info

How is your right click messed up? What does/n't it do?
How do you know Vendetta messed it up?
Does the right click work in all other programs?
Have you gone into ESC/Options/Controls and returned your mouse to the defaults?
Depending on your mouse, there might also be an application outside of Vendetta which could be returned to defaults.

um, since he won't reply, i'l chip in with my mouse problem.

On my dads XP box, it loses mouse/keyboard focus all the time, which gets really annoying in dogfights, and sometimes loses me my ship and cargo when i'm trading, if it happens when i go to dock at full speed.
My first thought was that it was a badly written app running code at intervals in the background, and stealing window focus, and the only things i could think of where outlook and norton AV, but i've run Vendetta with both of them disabled and i've still had the problem.
I've not gone as far as running it as the shell, but it might be worth a try.

Interesting. I also run XP and have Norton and Outlook. Norton will prevent you from logging on to the game if it isn't configurted properly, but I've never seen an in-game problem like the one you describe. I run a variety of other programs concurrently if I'm just lurking around an empty sector.

Is your version of XP a full version, or an upgrade from 98?

Are your mouse and keyboard wireless? Checked the batteries?

Do you have the latest drivers for your keyboard and mouse? Sometimes generic mouse drivers cause problems.

Are the mouse and keyboard USB, and if so, is the mouse plugged into a USB port in the keyboard? You may not have enough power to run these chained and might need a powered USB hub.

Also, if your devices ARE USB, try: In the Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers > USB Root Hub > Power Management, Uncheck all boxes on all root hubs.

Also, what video card/drivers do you have? Some recent versions of nvidia and matrox drivers have a virtual desktop setting and that may be messing things up.
I've never had the problem but am not using a USB keyboard or mouse.

I have key lockups sometimes. I posted two bugreports and a post in the forum. The game just repeats a keystroke infinitely and locks out the kybd and mouse sometimes. It's annoying, but happens less with my new keyboard. Come to think of it, it's only happened once with this keyboard.

my kb and mouse are both PS/2.
I'm running an OEM XP Home with SP1.
I have the nVidia 4523 drivers, and i do have the virtual desktop enabled, i'm going to disable that to see if there's an improvement.

roguelazer - i've never had it repeat a keystroke, it just locks up, and the game doesn't recieve any input at all.

Here's one - my scroll wheel no longer fires my third weapon. This is the same mouse I've been using since 2.something.

Weapons groups are set fine.
