Agreed, I don't think there is actually another money bug.

The only bug report I saw about it is related to the fact that if you kill your client and re-log, the character select screen shows your unsaved stats. When you select the character, it forces a save before you actually log in. So you don't actually get to double your money, even if it looks like it.
