its hard to kill the bots when you far and shoot on them and you hit them its ok but when they approach you can hit them but they life still remain the same and my pin good and its not just to me, me,bird and styles bitchley were doing a group mission and it happen to all of us.when the devs will repair this bug

Yeah , I encountered it also but already did a bugreport.

But I htink that it is the lag, you see the bots jumping all over the place, and it always happens right when you shoot. If you do hit the bot, then your health goes down. Some ghost is hitting you at that time. When you then move around and try to get away, you are getting hit by ghosthits :(.

It makes botting anything above drone 2 a risky bussiness :(. You encounter it also on a drone 2 but the difference is that you can kill it fst enough before it matters ...

This never happened before, but my average ping has jumped up with 50 - 80 on avg, so this may be the reason ...

I've *never* had problems with lag before this, but I also see the problem. I don't think the problem is on our end; too many people have seen it. I also filed a bugreport yesterday.

Yeah. My ping is pretty good (60-90) and I was just in Ukari D-13 and almost
bought a farm at the hands of a Sentry. They seem to "lag out" at the worst possible time (for me) and then kick my butt. Makes combat missions impossible for the time being. As if everything else wasn't bad enough.....

heh, try being on dialup over in the uk, i used to take on herds of droneII quite happily, now i have to run away from them =p

yeah, i know dialup isnt probably the best connection to play with, but it's still quite a change from 3.4.

Huh, I wonder what I broke.

It's weird. The bots exhibit the same symptoms as a laggy player. Their movements jump, and they fire as though they were not noticing their own lag. Example:

The bot is in front of you, flying in a straight line. So you attack, thinking it's on "patrol mode". However, it then jumps instantly behind you, then 10 or 20 seconds later, it jumps to the left of you. One of your random shots hits it and the next time it jumps, it's facing you and shooting. You dodge the shots you can see, but you get hit by the ones you can't. It's annoying, because you can't shoot back except randomly spraying fire at it.

Well while some bots appear quite normal, this bug appear easily with assault II bots, those are particullary jumpy.
I believe it's the bot that is lagged rather than the player.

Um, oops. Yeah. The server is about 5% efficient right now because I enabled some debugging code which makes debugging lag-related bugs easier but vastly underutilizes the network. This is fixed for the next server restart which will be tonight at the latest.

OK, restarted. Better?

Considerably.
