minor HUD issue

I see what you are talking about and I have it in my HUD also...me hands glasses to paedric and tells him to look in the red rectangle that was put around the problem. :-)

Yes, that's supposed to be that way.
I noticed that too. Will we see a completely redesigned HUD soon? With the new interface font I think some of the HUD elements can be trimmed down to increase visibility. I like how the new battery icons look so far. They fit in much better than the older beveled grey icons.
Here is a way to change the size of the HUD.
set rHUDxscale 1024
set rHUDyscale 768
will make the HUD small.
It is default to 640x480.
Setting it to the same as your game resolution will make it line up pixel-for-pixel.

But wow, the chat messages are impossible to read!
Go with 800x600 then.
EDIT: Yep, 800x600 is the best HUD size it seems. Lot of free space and everything is still readible. Sweeeet! Thanks, devs.

Be advised that the overlap pointed out by Cam is not adressed by this HUD resize. It's a ver minor problem anyway. And I have to agree with Arolte. 800x600 seems to give the best compromise between usability and visability.
We fixed the overlap problem in 3.5.6
Um. No you didn't. It still overlaps, regardless of the HUDscale.

Heh, yeah, I tweaked the graphic, but when Ray asked if anything changed in the media, I had forgotten I'd done that, so I said no. :)
