i encounter many invisible sentrys in ion storms

2 invisible sentries in Itan M4. It appears that invisible bots only appear in the sectors with octree warnings.

Don't think so ... I have seen (heh) one in a sector without octree warnings.

i just had invisible bots also in a sector without octrees. I did however encounter them in a sector where i had scored a "mutual kill" with 2 bots a few minute before. (they got me and i got them) when i went back to the sector it had 2 invisible bots. (coincidence, maybe) I'll attempt to recreate in another sector.

Edit scored a few mutual kills but no invisible bots spawned that i could see. (umm no pun intended)

Ray and I just figured out the root cause of this. A server-side fix will be available whenever we figure out how to fix it. ;)

The octree warnings and invisible bots are related; but if you see an octree warning, that's for a bot that -will- be visible. If you don't see an octree warning, the bot's so far off in lalaland that it's ignored. It's actually a problem with desynchronized packet timestamps right as the sector starts up and creates the bots.

Ok, fixed. And Assault IIs and Infiltrators are back too.
