I logged on today, around 2pm cst or so and I my ship is in space, floating around in blackness, I can see my HUD fine and talk and pull up the NAV menu.
Yesterday I logged off in an Itani Station though I don't know which one, now the Nav map tells me I am in SolII though it does not show me in any sectors. I cannot jump out even though there is not objects close by.

I also could not /explode.

I tried deleting my config file and restarting but it was the same blackness as b4.

I am running windows 2000 pro with a rage 128 gfx card

Sounds like the problem I had. You somehow lost Serco standing (maybe by logging off while in a cargo mission) and got booted out of the station? The server can't handle that.

I am Itani, I cannot dock in serco space. I logged off in Itani space though so am not sure how I got into solII

You moved to sector Sol II A-1, right?

Andy did something to all characters not used since the last full reset so that their location is listed as that sector... but I doubt this has anything to do with it.

I was not shown in any sector. The nav map showed me in SolII but no particular sector. Just a black empty sector I could not warp from.

I finnally blew up and was put back in metana my home system.

Nononono... did the screen say "You are now entering Sol II A1..." or something like that?

Sounds like bad lag to me.

and I used /ping and all stats were normal. Lag still would not explain why I loaded into the wrong system... I could fly around and shoot, talk, do everything fine except I was nowhere.

Unlikely. The sun sectors are unremarkable, but not black.

Somebody did something to make you log on in Serco space and with your low standing, you were mishandled by the server. Same results as when I logged off in Itani space while on an Itani cargo mission (I'm Serco). It lowered my standing to dislike and the server couldn't handle the change.

that could be, not sure how I was loaded into a serco area when I am Itani though, and homed in metana to boot
