Cargo Mission Issues

Sep 13, 2004 RattMann link
At present, only some of the "mission descriptions" include the amount of cargo that needs to be delivered or picked up. We need this info in order to
decide if we can take a mission or not. Historically, if you accept a mission and
then discover it is physically impossible for you to transport that amount of cargo, you take a standing "hit" when you refuse the mission.

I have recently seen missions asking us to transport relatively large amounts of
cargo, like 19 crates. Are there ships available that can accommodate that many, or are we expected to make two trips?

In those missions that require us to go somewhere, pick up cargo and return, the "payment" for doing the mission does is not high enough to justify the extra
time and effort. Is it possible that this will be adjusted in the future?

Yes, there are missions that require two trips and the reward is a little off (too low) both in payment and points.

I'm sure, now that it has been brought to the devs attention, that adjustments will be made.

I'll be moving this to Bugs soon, just to help things along.

I would hope that they plan to increase the trademission bonuses before release...

Another small thing. When accepting follow up missions and have forgotten to empty your cargo first, you wil only get part of the cargo to deliver. Is it any way to get the 'lost' cargo without having to forfeit the mission?

Does the extra cargo not go into your station stores? If not, that might be another bug item.

It's supposed to go into the station's cargo hold.

I plan on redoing the trade mission altogether before release. All these points will be addressed.

Sorry my mistake, it went into the station cargo hold.
It was me who did not see it.

Don't forget about adding a countdown timer for timed missions :)
