i just got the game downloaded and am unable to connect to the update server when i launch the game are the servers down?

No, they're up and people are playing. Have you tried temporarily disabling your firewall? Try that and see if you connect. If so, make a manual permission for Vendetta, if not let us know (preferably in the Bugs forum). Remember to turn the firewall back on.

Hmmmm, can you please give more detail as to what is happening when you try to connect? What messages are you getting, and what is your operating system and video card please?

Hmmm, are you trying to connect from home, or an institutional server like a school or business?

Same problem, but solved with the last updates. It still happens from time to time, but the updater/client usually connects at the 2nd try.

I have no idea why it's doing that... When you run the game, does it immediately say "Unable to connect to the Vendetta Online update server."? Does it wait a minute and then say that? Does it say something else?

If you see a "Connection failed:" message I'd like to know what it says exactly.

for like 7 secs it waits then says "unable to connect to the guild software update server. Please re-run the apllication to retry"

If you have the most recent version you can bypass the update server by just running the client.

/\ which you can do by renaming vendetta.rlb to vendetta.exe (and the real vendetta.exe to something else before that) in the installation directory and running that.

ok i got it to run...but now it just sits at the connecting screen uhg and yes my firewall is still off
