yes, some of the visual meshes don't perfectly match the collision mesh. Physics-wise you are not in the asteroid at that position, but you just look like you are.
It's because the progressive mesh degrades a little and kinda deflates.

The asteroids are actually made of a very soft material. ;)

There's a way to get all the way inside an asteroid. But I'm not gonna say how, because it'd be, um, bad of me to do so.

I did get all the way inside...lol, but the screeny showed just a roid?...lol, that was me on the way out heh ;)

No, rogue meant getting into the collision mesh of the roid.

You can still do that? The last I can remember of something like that was back in 3.1 or 3.2, where you could get inside the sector 7 station by having someone ram you into it correctly.

meh, *I* can do it with a BUG (zamzx GOLD anyone?) heheheheheh. it was fun with nukes in sector 7 wars. you just get a rag, and fire away!

you can get inside _anything_ with that bug. I like camping out inside the blue-shielded docks.
