Indestructible miracle mine...

I believe this must be a BUG!

Having laid mines before I am aware that station guards destroy them wherever they are put within seconds. Well looks like they had a tough time with this one ;-P

The 3 guards went at it trying to destroy the mine for over 15 minutes... until i jumped out of the sector. It was quite a spectacle. I think this would have kept them busy so as to not coming after bad guys attacking newbies in the area. I laid a few more mines they totally ignored.

Friendly Fire is off. They can't destroy the mine until you get temporary KOS.

This probably has something to do with the good old fix of friendly flag de-mining.

Well even so its not good and wrong and should be changed. Station guards should not be tied up by something like this indefinitely as it was in this case.

They should give up after a given time maybe.

yeah, there's no flags anymore. Mines should be exempted from friendly-fire rules. Missiles/rockets too.

The no-friendly-fire feature has given me little but grief... Back when I was escorting my father through pirate-ridden portions of UIT space (before my standing dropped "a little," but that's another story) I constantly feared having to fight off a Serco pirate, since I would be unable to hurt them at all.
Oddly, this situation never arose, but now I know that it's because Tramshed and YodaOfBorg hang out in other systems. :P
It is fun, though, to fire starflares at n00b Serco and have them freak out... j/k
