This may not be a bug, but an explanation might be helpful. I'm taking the reconnaisance mission in Dau system dealing with crazy bots carrying nasty chemicals (titled anomalous materials). I have tried this several times, and I meet up with half a dozen or more Den-tek collectors. I die instantly, without any intermediate damage. What is going on here? True, lots of Den-teks might be difficult, but not one shot and you're out..

The bot with hazardous chemicals has a special property. it nukes everything in a sector when you hurt it.

You killed either that one, or one very close to it. The explosion of one of your victims did the rest.

it is my experience that if the hazbot even bumps into another bot, regardless of whether you have shot anything, it will explode.

It's a bugged mission. Just think of it like that and ignore that mission tree until it gets fixed.

And devs, please let the bot take a little more damage before annihilating the universe. Right now completeing the mission is pure luck, and rare luck at that.
