SMALL turrets, 360deg turrets
This I want to see. We need more turrets.
Small turrets would cost 1/3 of the large turrets and would fire weaker beams (say 250-400 damage). The benefit is that it uses green lasers, which are slow, but have a longer range. Energy consumption would be about the same as the gat turret.
360 deg turrets would only be available for large, low manoueverability ships, would have fair/good auto-targeting. Price would be roughly the same as the gat turret.

I think that as we get larger ships with very low manueverability or worse, that we should see ships with 'small turret' ports which track thier target regardless of the facing of the ship and which will accept any small weapon.
