Just a quick idea i thought of when killing some bots in s6.

You can pickup spare engine parts, if you have say 16/16 engine parts (unloaded but not sold, in one station) then you could fit this newly built engine (all 16 parts make an engine) to the second port of your ship, which is for backup, sorta a get-away style engine.
