heh, i agree.
I also mean that it shouldnt be a mentor system at all, there is no problem for anyone that is new to this game to get the help they need anyway.
and yes if they change the mentor system without resetting all the accounts, all they have done is doing the exploiters huge favor.

I haven't noticed the new system. Care to elaborate on how it works and what makes it unfair?
I stopped mentoring at about 18 points. 40 is totally unrealistic given the job required to do it. Out of those 18, about 6 were obtained via the use of alternate accounts.

I never mentored, as I knew it was ripe for abuse, so, like miguel mouser, I had no idea there was a new system in play, and like Norseman, I'd like to see it go away for good.

the rules for mentoring as I understand them:
a)Accounts can be mentored up to 3 times.
b) Once a character hits level 1 in any license, they can no longer be mentored.
There is a little hitch in the system because it appears that some of the verfication checks occur at the time of awarding of mentor points. This means I could have a level 12 player be my mentee and I would get your student has logged in messages. However, when they level, I will NOT get a mentor point because they are above level 1 thus the complaint of "lost" mentor points.
