(Actually, I get a little lag from it, too, especially when it's selecting a new song from a randomized playlist.)

Convert your music to oggs and play in VO?
Jul 28, 2006 Klabbath link
Hey, now THERE's a great idea.

I can handle the Ogg conversion. I have a free utility for that that runs quite well on the Mac. I forget the name because I've only used it twice, but I'll post it when I get home. However, the next question is how/where do I put the music to import it into the game? I assume there's something in the package contents somewhere?

I've found that Radiohead makes a very nice general soundtrack to Vendetta. Try "Kid A."

NIN's instrumental tracks and B-sides are also great for combat. Just don't listen for too long or you may start getting sudden urges to fly 200 m/s into a roid.

Or just fly with no music at all to be really oldschool. You can turn it off by hitting esc then going to sound options.

Um... just turn a radio on in the background? Put on a CD in a player, not the computer? (*slaps forehead multiple times)

For what do you think we have TGFT Radio?

(Though it consumes traffic of course, so I stopped to listen to it =()

iTunes slows down for you guys running VO? I used to run VO and iTunes simotaneously on this ol' craptacular iMac G3 600MHz no problem. The iChat client on the other hand...

If your into heavy metal, techno or just plain good rock and roll, as well as some "classic" classical peices I find work really well while zooming around in that universe.

A-Dawg;

It's not that big a deal for me. What happens is that when I have iTunes on randomize it has to briefly seize the processor to run the algorithm. For about .10 of a second I get a lag spike in between songs. After that everything is normal.

Why do you need music in VO? For me, it only detracts from things like engines boosting and such, which can give me important information in a fight.

I just turned it off...

(Screwball you can reimburse me for the mention later)
