Vendetta Postal Service

This is partially inspired by this thread, and I did some searching but couldn't find anything relevant.
The idea is as follows:

Expand the "buddy note" service to a full-fledged postal service!
Features I suggest:
- Send message to a guild, the commander, Lts and council would all get a copy.
- Send a message to an indevidual, see if it's been read
- Attatch credits to messages, for payment of services, for example.
- Ingame interface AND website interface
- Would require people to add eachother as buddies to send messages, and something similar for guilds. "/guild alliance TGFT"?

This will enable a lot of fun functionality, including much easier guild funds administration (send it to the guild treasurer character in V-mail) and money transfer between characters without a middle-man.

wouldnt this make transfering credits between alts easier, and weren't we all complaining about people who transfer credits between free accounts. then again perhaps this service would be off limits to free accounts. hey cool i solved my own problem.

Can we have this without the requirement that you become buddy with anyone you want to send mail to...

Sounds like something straight out of WoW

Yes, let's have a consensual linkup, then the "buddies" or whatever could send each other money.

Guild messages would be limited to council, lt and cmdrs, otherwise that might get annoying.

Return receipts would be cool.

Most importantly, a website (NON-Ingame) interface for this would be very very neat. And would probably have to be part of a more generalized player and Guild non-ingame web interface.

Zed1985, not only WoW, but most other MMOs have some kind of postal service.
who? me?, what's wrong with sending credits to/from a trial account? If I work for the credits, I should be able to give them to anyone, and there will never be a good way to eliminate the middle man method anyway.

On a related note, is it currently possible to buddy up with someone that isn't logged in?

Add a feature so you can forward a message to the devs, because I can see people using it to insult or harass others.

And because of the same reason, yes, make it unavailable to trial accounts.

How about each player gets a choice. "Inbox Settings:" with the options "Accept all mail" or "Accept only mail from buddies"

Cool Stuff Demonen.

As I almost always say with these kind of caliber suggestions, "it should be implemented already," but if everything we ever wanted was already implemented, there wouldn't be any reason to suggest anything.
Bravo. Good thinking.

This idea has so many upsides it's pretty much impossible to reject it.

I like the idea of options for accepting mail. Personally I don't want to buddy up with lots of people.
