Think we could get a button on our hud that was green for Flight assist enabled and red for it off. Sometimes it's easy to forget which is on when your in a tight fight.

You should leave it off all the time.

That's a good idea. The only current way is to accelerate and see if the speed indicator shows a third color until you approach your desired speed, I think.

meh. that's like pressing the gas pedal down to see if the emergency brake is on.

You don't notice that the brake is on until you actually try to go somewhere :P

that reminds me of that hellish day i had last year with my motorcycle, when i jolted out of my parking spot with my disk lock still in place.

I honestly have never flown with flight assist on over the last six months... I find it just impairs mobility more than anything. It's like training wheels....

It can be very useful, but that's for another thread. I don't have any idea why you brought it up in this one, Cunjo.

I turn it on and off very often, on more so than off during light fights.

But yeah, some kind of indicator would be helpful.
