More Player Controlled Frigate Suggestions...

So what I want to see is player controlled frigates, what I don't want to see is almost everyone who isn't a newbie flying their player controlled frigates, that's just retarded. So what if only 20 frigates were handed out each month? Four for every nation including Corvus (Because the pirates want em too... I mean like... pirate HAC that effing awesome. But anyways, How about the player that gets it every month has to have +999 standing (or PoS once that bug is fixed), be factioned (Corvus = just +999 or PoS and hated or KoS with your "Nation") has to have the most stats of something as in: most pk's gets you a HAC, most Queen/Levi/Frigate kills gets you a Teradon, most profit from trading will get you a Constellation, Second of that gets you a Trident. For Corvus: Most bounties collected: Teradon, Most rewarded pk's for the Liberation mission: HAC, Most profit collected from Convoy NPC/Player-dropped items: Constellation. Second of that: Trident.

Interesting ideas, Shank. That would certainly make the badges useful for something besides prestige. I tend to agree that badge levels should be used to determine some more aspects of the game, like available missions.

However, I think the consensus right now is that cap ships should be available to guilds, primarily commanders and lieutenants. I think this requires some modifications in the database to incorporate adjustments to the guild system.

Other suggestion:

I'd say make the Capships cost lots of expensive ressources (Samo, XiRite alloy for the Hull aso), and they can only be custom-made, this should take some time. They shouldn't be availlable in the usual Hangar
So, You'd order and pay for a Capship, some time later ('bout 2 days for a Trident, 2Weeks for a HAC) you get back to the station and get your ship. Since it can't land on the station, it'll be hovering outside the station. You'd have to bord the ship carrying, for example, a special Item, an unique one for every ship, to be able to controll the ship.

Another thing i'l like to se is restricted docking on player Capships. The owner of the ship could give certain rights to guilds and individual Players.

For example: The commander of [GUILD] is the owner of the ship. He can dock and repair/reload on the capship, man turrets, controll the ship/set turret behaviour and set new rights for layers of course. He decides, that all council members of [GUILD] have the same rights , except for seting new rights.
He also decides, that [GUILD]-Members can land and repair/reload on the ship and man turrets. UIT (<- just an example ;) ) members are allowed to epair/reload on the ship. Non-UIT-members can't land.

This does of course need a lot of work, but i'd really like something like that IG.

I think Incarnate mentioned that PC capships would be closely tied to the crafting system... so if resources are limited then we can assume cap ships will also be limited to some extent.

I don't like the idea of arbitrarily limiting the number of cap ships in existence, it should be tied to how well each nation/guild mines and trades. Disrupting a factions ability to mine and trade would consequently disrupt their ability to build cap ships.
