attacking when warping

I think that ships should be able to attack whn warping out. Its very annoying when you cant do anything and someone shoots at you when you warp out.
This idea is directed to help traders. Traders could drop mines when warping in case someone is chasing them right when they warp.
Ive been in situations where i was warping away, and someone come at me shooting and i couldnt do anything but watch him hitting me at close range. Being able to drop mines would be very helpful and would help traders.

I for one love this idea. I would prefer the was it was no damage while warping though. But letting us humble traders fight back is a step in the right direction. Or making the attack time a little shorter?

You can drop mines right before warping out. Chasing is not easy even now, if runners would dodge while warping, it will be a real pain

However being unable to prevent warp-in killing is annoying

I dont mean like being able to dodge the attacks when warping, just being able to drop mines would be enough.
I think that when you warp out boosting stops, doesnt it?, then the enemies get a chance of getting really close to you and kill you at close range. Thats why being able to drop mines would be very helpful.
I know that you can drop them before warping out, but the enemy can see them coming and dodge them easily. However, if this could be done when warping, spotting the mine would be harder, and since the enemy always boosts to get closer to you when you warp, the mines would be very effective.

Boosting doesn't stop, but you stop accelerating.

Presonally, I like it the way it is now. It's still rediculously easy to run if you want to. It used to be worse, but it's still bad now, so, I don't realy like this idea.

I like warp-out how it is now.

We need warp-in invincibility, though. It's simply not fair to the pilot who gets killed during the warp-in animation and is unable to do anything. They are given no option whe warping in (at least warping out, you can choose not to, or to stay and fight first if you know you'll be shot.)

Yes cunjo.
But what about the innocent traders in their moths who get chased by pirates?
They got no other option other than paying them big amounts of money or running away. They got no choice to do so since they stand little chance against a pirate with a corvus vult while they fly a clumsy moth with a 80% hit probability.
Its precisely when traders warp out, that pirates get their best chance to kill them since the traders stop boosting and slow down during the warping out process.
Right at that moment, they can get close enough to the trader.
So, a trader carrying mines could drop one right when the pirate got close enough.
Due to the animation sequences, it would be hard for the pirate to spot the mines, specially because at this moment, the pirate would be trying to get close enough to deliver a good placed stream of fire, and would fail to notice until its too late.

Shadoen, moth is not the ship for trading in greyspace.
