Ok not really magic items, but finding "unidentified alien components" from npcs rarely (1 in 100) would be rather fun. Take em to your home sector, pay for them to be analyzed, and you might end up with like, one adv. tach blaster, or whatnot. Sure youll lose it when you die, but itll be great fun to find and get stuff.

It would also be great if we had a tradeing system in place for these things, accessiable from a station to other people stationed.

Maybe make it happen more often, but it be likely that what it is is junk.
