Radar and projectiles

its getting kind of old where someone can hide underneath a wormhole marker on radar and fire seeking or even just rockets at you.. because of the fact the wormhole marker is on top, you have no idea that projectiles are in the air coming at you, and on seeking you dont know the direction to be able to try and dodge

I'm not saying you're not right, but you can turn wormholes off on radar. It's a capital W or something........

LOL!! This is new. People actually hide behind the wormhole indicator on your radar? What's the big deal? You're invincible when you come in and out of sectors, and you can still select enemies visually (select person in front key). Boosting will also get you to avoid homers/seekers/swarms.

And yes, you CAN tell where the projectiles are coming from. They're the little yellow blinking dots on your radar that move. Using the auditory and visual feedback of those dots from your relative location, you can roughly pinpoint where the bogey is.

Wormholes have a 1km radius... so don't really close to the center if you think someone might be there.

Arolte: I think his point was that the yellow blinking dots can get hidden behind the wormhole icon as well. I don't think this is too big of a problem because of the size of wormholes. But what can be annoying is mines inside stations. You don't see the yellow dots because of the station icon.

So if you don't see the actual missiles on your radar, you can use deductive reasoning to figure out that it's coming from the nearest wormhole. It's not so much a bug than it is an annoyance. I also don't like the fact that the wormhole icons pop out at you from everywhere in your HUD, regardless of whether you're in front or behind an asteroid. The wormhole icons should at least scale itself with distance, so they're not so huge from long distances. Of course not too much so it turns into a dot or anything like that, but it should shrink until its barely readible.

I never said it was a bug, please reread my post. Also, rockets can be hidden by them and there is no indication that they are in the air. And you are not invincible when floating in space looking at BountyBot who had just encountered some weird graphics glitch, as well as trying to guide bountybot back to the station.

It is very easy to stay compeltely out of sight of someone by merely ensuring that the wormhole indicator on your radar is dead behind you, and they are dead in front of you.. poof, only way for them to discover you is to target, as you dont show up on the radar visually. Also, I cant turn off the wormholes on radar, if I could this would not be that much of a problem.
