destroying capital ship turret in skirmishes should count as a kill
Maybe not a casualty but at least give you a cash reward and combat xp.

RP-wise, it IS a kill, as much as blowing a fighter is a kill.
There must be a NPC operating turret. If it blows, he dies, just like any player manning a turret, or another NPC that is flying a fighter.
Just subtract those already dead from the (?20?25?) kills that trident destruction gives.

Well it makes sense that the turret is remotely operated, so you're not going to kill the NPC who's shooting at you. Really they're only a casualty once the ship is destroyed.

yea it would make sence that your not actually sitting inside the turret, they are kinda small for that too.

Seriously, they already count as a massive loss when they are destroyed. The enemy loses a few hundred troops when you boom one so yes, please... if you happen to take one out, you (and anyone who helped) should be seriously rewarded.

By the logic of the other posters you should get 700 or whatever it is kills if you get the last shot on an nov cappy seeing as that is how many gets taken off the boarder skirmish tab
I disagree with the whole "last shot fired gets all the credit for kills/reward/xp" aspect of this. If three players take out a ship with seven hundred soldiers on board each player should get 233 kills and a one third of the xp (with a modifier taking into account damage caused by player involved, like with Hive Queens.).

the weapons xp works that way on things that give weapons xp, I am not sure why other stuff doesn't

And there has been talk from the dev's ( a while back) that pay out for cap kills could be based on total percentage of damage done by a player. Maybe only split amongst players cause a tera can do a ton and steal all the moneys! (way off topic, i feel like Alloh now..)

Pay out should be based on damage done. XP should be also based on damage done (like a queen). I think there should be a big bonus for dropping shields for all those involved in the bombing run once the cappie is down.

Rewards for dropping shields must only be paid if ship is destroyed. No multi-farming. When ship is destroyed, who dropped the shield receives more bonus, like 1/2 of hull points.
Generally yes. I have no idea what is practical, but I agree that the whole system of damage and reward does need a review.
