This would make long trade routes from UIT/Grey to Deneb super ultra amazingly easy.

It is already implemented, and does not even require an addon.
Simply get to Deneb, set home there, then when you want to go back, use /explode and die happily...

To avoid trade problems, just have it auto-jett all cargo.

But seriously, it is exploitable from a trader's point-of-view, which would be such a blessing. And, with the triple nation kill-on-sight requirement added, the device would be of little use.
Pilots with triple nation k.o.s. would be stuck between a rock and a hard place (e.g. Deneb) with little elsewhere to go but back to home station via various methods of /explode, minus their 100,000c device and ship/equipment/cargo.
