Renaming stations, the easy way
After reading ARF's post on key naming, it ocurred me a small change that would effetively "rename" stations.
Simply add the active owner key name as string to local turrets and bots names.
[KEYNAME] Turret #1
[KEYNAME]'s Guard Somebot Anyname
Exactly like joining guilds does to player names, without [].
If not ask much, add the tag also for station components, as ''[partname] of [keyname] station''.
More immersive, gives value to tags, shows who owns station now.
That would be equivalent to enabling Guilds to own stations!
Same applies to cappies when they have keys... I even imagine a cappie battle between "ONE Commanding Vessel" vs "ITAN's Flagship", or a captured "CHRN Jolly Roger" stalking the "TGFT Cargo Trident #6"

Sounds pretty ok.

The current key system is horribly broken. The proposed change, while simple, will only do more harm than good in the long run. What is really needed is a complete overhaul to the key system.
The problem is that one key should be assignable to multiple items (be that multiple stations, a station and a cappie, etc.). Naming the key "ONE Commanding Vessel", while it might make sense for a single cappie, is a horrible name for a station (not to mention horribly confusing too).
There is also the problem that when assigning a key to multiple items, you need a way to see which items it is assigned to, and it is going to get very confusing unless you can assign your own names to cappies and stations anyway.
So really, the only solution that makes any sense to me is to be able to names to cappies, stations, and the keys, all separately from one another. The fact that the current key naming implementation is horribly broken is really a discussion for another topic.
