There is a little quirk that I'd like to add.
For example the particle velocity is 210 m/s vector relative to your motion.
Eg. Ship is flying backwards at velocity of 60m/s shoots 210m/s particle, where in a stationary reference frame, the particle is only flying at 150m/s..
This weapon allows that its STATIONARY vector velocity is always 210m/s. (hence neutron accelerator, or maybe... balancer?)

like swarms?

I don't like that quirk simply due to it not making any sense - the gun would have to be modifying its own exit velocity based on your ship's velocity. But why would it do that? You pretty much always want your shots to go as fast as they possibly can, so having the gun slow them down if your forward velocity is >0 would be undesirable. And as for the gun speeding the shots up when you have a velocity of <0, if it can speed them up then, it should be able to speed them up all the time.
Yes I am aware that seekers have absolute speed limits already (when targeted anyway). I assume the game basically treats them as miniature ships, resulting in the imaginary space drag enforcing an absolute speed limit. I don't at all like it, and certainly don't want to see that kind of nonsense seep into energy weapons as well.
+1 to the rest of it though, just not to the quirk.

First off neutron's aren't ion, they're called neutrons for a reason and second why would i put robot chunks inside my gun!
anyways +1
anyways +1
I just thought it might add a little bit of a changed user experience.
Spidey, where do you think AA comes from? The robotic components can also be a part of some sort of self maintenance system the gun has, to keep it clean and such. As for ion cores, they aren't necessarily being used for shooting ions. For example, old-style TVs have electron guns inside them, but they aren't shooting electrons at the viewer, they shoot photons at the viewer. The electron beams are used internally to generate the photons. In a neutron blaster, maybe the ion cores are used in the process of striping electrons and protons from the neutrons that are to be fired.

yes this is precisly what I'm' talking, I very much doubt the vo weapons use robotic components *servos and other mechanical parts* to move the whole blaster to fire the shot in the wanted direction but much more like a CRT that uses 4 electro magnets to guide the beam of electrons onto individual pixels, so if anything make the mission require superconductors.
After rereading the stats over again I find that your gun is a tad bit overpowered and would render the LENB, WM N3, Raven, AAP, and hive posi completely obsolete.
I meant for the buff to be much more subtle and give us a blaster between the neutron blaster mk2's efficiency and the neutron blaster mk3/lenb DPS weight and velocity, this thing outright leaves them all in the dust since its more efficient weighs even less goes faster and deals just as much damage as a lenb.
IMO something this good should only be dropped by queens a crafting mission for the weapon you're suggesting would be way too easy imo.
light fighters are already effective enough in combat giving them this gun would be somewhat... well i'll put it this way would you want to fight one of my IBG's with two of those guns equipped?

How about you suggest some stats then?
It was only meant as a rough guide, I threw that in as like 30 second stats.

for me, honour its name and only increase its Velocity to 225, making it the fastest, and increase its grid to compensate.
Imagine, instead, a car... you have the Std, GLX, Sport/Turbo and SW variations. Which do you expect to be the fastest? and their MPG or KM/L?
Something named "accelerator" should be the turbo of neutron blasters, higher speed due higher fuel (energy) consumption.
