Guild-Standings
Probably a bigger suggestion, did a forum search for "Guild Standings" and found nothing, so I thought I'd post :)
Would be cool if guilds could rate players and players see their "Guild-Standings" like the "Faction-Standings" in the PDA. Guilds would have to be able to view all the players which have been added as well, and of course modify it.

TCS or Targetless
Inter-guild "standings" and politics are a bit too fuzzy to add a whole new feature to the game for. We're talking about human to human relationships here, which are much more difficult to describe as simply a numeric scale between "Kill on Sight" and "Pillar of Society." The NPCs are that one-dimensional, the players not so much.
As Ryan suggested, TCS can be used to customize who shows up as hostile or friendly on your HUD/radar, which is much more useful for this sort of thing.

This could improve A LOT the IFF aspect of Vendetta... and seems the next logical enhancements. Should be a default feature from engine... almost like TCS does!
Like, Guild Commander mantain lists of "Allied" and "KoS" Guilds. For all guild members, those list override national IFF.
Also the Guilds commanders could DECLARE WAR on other Guilds and nations, so affecting all players. Example, [THC] can declare war on all nations...
For me, some Guilds, if they do not declare war on (specific, all) nations themselves, Devs, Guides or some "player council" could force that option. Examples, [FR] kos Itani,Serco, [CHRN] kos ALL.
Inter-guild "standing" gets simplified to 3 levels: Ally, Neutral, Enemy.
I prefer a graphical UI inside the Guild tab, but some cmd line works:
/guild declare (KoS,neutral,PoS) GTAG
or
/guild declare (War,Peace,Ally) GTAG
and
/guild declare (War,Peace,Ally) NATION
Command only available to Guild Commander

ye sure do like bondage Alloh : ]
-1 Guilds should communicate internally about who their friends and foes are. Not all guilds identify threats based on tag alone. Example: I am borderline KOS with an ally of my guild. Example: I regularly deal with members of guilds that are technically enemies of my guild. There are a thousand things I'd rather see the devs focus on before something that is not needed.
+1 but low priority. Individual guild members should have the option to disable and/or override this though. It should always be the individual who has the final say on what his IFF shows him.
-1 to the forcing nonsense though. You can declare me as your enemy, but it would be complete idiocy if you could force me to declare you as my enemy. And no, before you try brining out your "but the poor newbies!" excuse, that is not a sufficient reason. You cannot put words in my mouth, for any reason, period.
Besides which, that is too open to the possibility of being abused. So no. If that makes life a little bit harder, that's just too bad. Life's tough; get a helmet.

Wow... Alloh, clear something up for me? Do you have the worst memory ever... or, do you hope we do? You've brought out this idea of a ruling/governing council of players several times in the past and each time it has been shot down by a vast and overwhelming majority.
You are suggesting a method where group of people could declare someone universal KoS, regardless of standing. Thereby barring them from entering nation space based o the fact that this small group does not like them.
Please stop re-posting your ideas that have already failed horribly!

You don't have to like all my ideas, Ryan... And I remember the aversion most playerbase fears controls as it could change them or their lifestyles. That is why I separated that topic.
For me, we must offer a faction to pirates, to better balance things. Serco/Itani then UIT/RAT ... like that moving capital faction, so it would make easier for IFF...
the central point is also add guild relations to IFF now.

Well I was thinking it this way: it's simply an indicator, but the players choose themselves on how to act it out. You can be KoS on some guild, and if one of their members is still friends with you, he might simply decide to ignore the standing.
It would also give new members of a guild an overview about guild relationships.

Let's hear it for Alloh, ladies and gentlemen! The pride and joy of some festering TTT of an Argentine special needs elementary school!

hahaha, we're KOS to anyone, so not really interested in this feature unless the official war will allow to kill enemies in faction space without faction loss ;)

For me that is implicit and required...
I have no ptoblem that a rogue pilot, from a troll guild, enter every nation space and shoot everything that moves, including noobies, as long as IFF tag that pilot as enemy for everyone not in same guild. That would be fair. While as now when someone in same nation as the noobie, showing green in his radar, shoot him without warning, isn't fair neither fun...
Thus, if Guild X declares war on Guild Y, that declared war condition should prevail over all protections BUT NFZ. So if X and Y members shoot each other in monitored space, no faction penalties whatsoever. And since they are already Guild-KoS, no guild faction left to lose. Example, a local 'dislike' THC member kills a local PoS VPR, then his local standing should not drop any more, since they are declared enemies.
This could force (almost) all guilds to choose a faction as "sacred", thus THC can declare war on 2 nations at time, while having to respect one faction player... once more, a dark faction would improve everything.
Now, lesscter proved now that he is as stupid about geography as with physics...

-1 to declaring war to avoid faction penalties. If I am a higher-up in Tunguska and you kill somebody who had many favorable dealings with us (but who was not himself Tunguska), I will not be happy with you. I don't care whether you were at "war" or not. You killed a valued client.
I decided you're too stupid to actually be Brazilian, Alloh. And judging by the Brazilian slam piece I picked up at Churrascaria Tribeca last weekend, that's saying a lot. From now on, you're an Argentine - but act any dumber than you already have, and I'm switching your nationality to Venezuelan.
Dr. Lecter: As far as I can see it, Alloh has been on-topic, while you up till now did nothing but bash Alloh... please stop.
And I'd like to repeat that what I meant was not meant to have special features like wars between guilds, and especially have no impact to the game in the sense that it could change how attacks affect faction-standings. I think it would just be a nice way of having guild members know a *tiny* bit about players they haven't met. If their guild set those to KoS, they probably have a reason, but he doesn't need to follow that, and it certainly shouldn't change the rules as to where he's allowed to actually attack them.
If A kills B in sector which belongs to faction X, then X doesn't care whether or not A likes B, or of some random faction/guild A is in hates or likes B, if X likes B, and A shoots B, then X will not like A, period.
