Minigames in Station bars
Just was thinking of something to add to the atmosphere,
along the lines of some futuristic chess/go variant.
Would add something to the bar, which is currently just a chatbox that no one uses.
Alternately, EV inspired options like a betting game wouldn't be bad...

I'm working on it.
I have built a gameplayer plugin that I should make public. Still need some images for the various ores so I can build a graphic version of the Slots game.
RL has been gripping a lot of my time lately, but I'm starting to move forward on various VO projects again. I'll have to dust off the multiplayer poker module for the Casino. Since the gameplayer features decks of cards should make the player for it nice too. The architecture for multiplayer is what's being put in place, so once done I'll be able to start building more multiplayer versions of the various games.
I could always use some beta testers for the gameplayer. Anybody game? ;)

Got a couple of things to tweak, then I will post the plugin for download.
One thing about the gameplayer - it's designed to be a game framework. While it works with the Casino, it's also perfectly capable of running standalone games, as they're all designed as plugins.
The plugin itself installs in the bar. You'll be able to run it by going to the bar and clicking the "Enter Casino" button. You can type /games while in the station or space. If you're in a station, the ambiance sound will play continuously also. (BTW it's a 36 sec sample sound file from an actual casino, so should make things interesting. Didn't go for a longer sound file as there's no way in VO to stop a sound once started. It's kind of weird when you leave the casino that the background ambiance continues to play until the file is finished.

Bad sign for vendetta when we're asking to play other games while we're playing the game.
specially when its something like card games/simple betting games, honestly though i really like the idea of the futuristic chess/go/checkers ect idea but it would only be worth it if the game was really cool simple and innovative and that wouldn't be an easy thing to create.
I disagree. I think it adds to the RP element, especially if they're games which serve an RP purpose.
Being able to play other sorts of games with the same people you're flying with isn't a bad idea. Otherwise if you wanted to have a guild chess tournament or something you'd have to arrange to do it out of game. And it could give you something to do while you wait for that random guy in Metana to make it around the loop so you can go Levi hunting or whatever.
