Guild Keyring

Guilds have guild banks. I say they should also have guild key-rings, allowing key-based access control to easily and elegantly work with guilds to simplify management without giving up the option for granular control when needed.

So for example, if I captured a station, I could assign the owner key to LAW, and all of us would automatically have access. If anybody new joins the guild, they immediately get access, and if anybody leaves, they immediately lose access. No need for manual management or plugins. If BLF helped us capture the station, we could assign that guild a user or owner key as well. If we wanted to share with RED we could give them a user key, and then later revoke it if they annoyed us. If a couple individual people wanted to buy access, we could still give them standard user keys.

There should be a couple extra options when assigning a key to a guild, to allow for specifying the permissions at each level of the hierarchy. It might be desirable for the key to be treated as an owner-key for the guild commander (whoever that may be) but not for the individual members. Or you might want to deny members docking privileges for some reason. A lot of that would vary based on the individual guilds involved, so there should be options.

I think the entire key system needs closer scrutiny, but this is a big step in the right direction. +1

Definitly, Guilds should ALSO be able to own stations, capships and whatever can be owned by a single player.

And NOT, it is NOT the same thing that a Guild member owns something and the Guild owns it!
