Faceof, when you swim in the ocean you are on the menu for bigger fish. The training sectors are 100% safe. Nation space is less safe, and greyspace IS SUPPOSED TO BE DANGEROUS, and in both instances it is players who make it so. The game is called Vendetta for a reason: Don't get mad, get good, get even.

Unlike other mmo's, this is a combat sim that makes it POSSIBLE to trade and mine and build, but none of it is 100% safe from combat. This will always send the faint-of-heart fleeing for the logout button, but for those who embrace it, the rewards are many. Amassing a fortune or building a trident while avoiding, evading, destroying, or negotiating with dangerous pilots makes your success meaningful. Your failures should enrage you to take the fight to your enemies, not whine on the suggestion forum.

You made the decision to go into grey. You basically consented to getting shot at. I don't really know what else to say.

This is a pvp combat game first and foremost. It began life as such and had the sandbox elements added later. It might not be the right kind of game for you.

I'd suggest something else, but it's all either still in development, just like Vendetta, or both.

Okay, there is technically Star Trek Online, but that's basically (well, literally) WoW with a star Trek skin. If you want sandboxes....well......seems you're sol.
