+1 to Lecter's idea. UIT doesn't deserve a prom or valk matching ship. If anything, a fancy trade ship would suit them better.

RoboticMechanicalJeb woke up this dead thread. UIT are not complaining although they should. Even if you agree that the uit are a trading nation, which there is more too it, then they need a ship to escort their trade ship that can take on all the pirates in X1s.

Personally, I think it should be difficult to maintain a pirate alt and keep access to the Valk and Prom (nationalist military ships, not pirate ships like the cormaud or hound).

An alt truly role-playing pirate as it should be played would have tri-KOS, and that's enough to restrict their access to the best ships. The rest of Itani-admired "pirates" are fake pirates/valk jocks just looking for scores in grayspace to pad their kill ratio. This is why we need the gray faction to differentiate valk jocks from the real, honest-to-god pirates.
